Physics of the Void
The Void is, as has repeatedly been stated, a hostile pit of paradox where nothing but those specifically suited to living in it and specially protected objects can survive.
However, even a hostile pit of paradox conforms to some form of physics, no matter how odd and contradictory it might seem.
Let’s take a look at things one at a time, shall we?
Rule #1 for Void Physics: Everything is a matter of perception
Rule #2 for Void Physics: Nothing is as it seems unless you have confirmed it with at least three other people.
Now for the more general things.
Motion:
Motion in the Void conforms not to Earth physics or any other. As a function of the mind, one is able to move through the Void without any regard for Newtonian motion, or any other motion, really.
1st Law of Void Motion: Inertia either exists or does not exist according to mindset, energy levels, and perception. If you think it won’t budge, it won’t. If you think it will budge and believe hard enough, it will no matter what.
2nd Law of Void Motion: F ≠ ma. Force is created as a function of arbitrarily based power levels and mental state, along with a good dose of Hamminess for those so inclined. That means yes, yelling makes you stronger. Sometimes.
3rd Law of Void Motion: Equal and opposite reactions are a figment of the imagination in the Void. With proper effort, one is able to completely deflect any sort of impact without so much as budging from their perceived point in the Void.
General Void Makeup:
The Void’s nature as a perception based environment that reacts based on mental fortitude and strength of will makes it an incredibly versatile bit of strangeness.
With that said, everything in the Void is a matter of perception. Every single person views the Void differently, though sometimes the differences are miniscule. However, the single most agreed upon image of the Void is of a never ending, ever shifting, kaleidoscopic mix of every color and no color at all, cycling between the two in an infinitely instantaneous cycle.
Within the Void there exist various structures, ranging from Universes to simple random objects, seemingly floating by with no reason. These usually are not important to anything, save the Universes, unless they are slammed into with sufficient velocity.
For now, let us focus on Universes.
Universes in the Void are paradoxes of paradoxes, as they are pockets of order in a space literally defined as a never ending, roiling ball of pure paradox.
Each Universe is built differently than the others. What does this mean, you ask? It means that one Universe might not have the concept of magic, one perhaps might be built on some obscure “pillars of existence”, and still others might even have laws of physics where red is actually the color pizza.
The nature of the Void also ensures that nearly everyone sees Universes differently, from bubbles to office buildings. However, no matter what view one takes of a Universe, the inner workings of said Universe remain constant, even if two beings take completely opposite viewpoints on the cosmetic appearance of a Universe.
Time in the Void
Time in the Void does not exist in an absolute and objective manner. However, it does exist on a subjective scale. That being that once again perception is the key here.
For example: If you perceive yourself as following the current rate of time as the Universe you left behind, you shall. However, if you perceive yourself as following the exact opposite rate of time, you will be, for all intents and purposes, time travelling backwards to that Universe.
Time is also very strictly nonlinear in the Void, since it relies entirely on perception. Ergo, doing things in the present affects what you do in the past and what you do in the present affects what you do in the past and what you do in the future affects what you do in the present which affects what you do in the past which affects what you do in the past which affects what you do in the-

Power of Void Dwellers
The power of any individual Void Dweller fluctuates, but generally falls within a range. As there are really only two “Displaced” Power levels that apply to the Void, those being Godly and Meta, there is a separate ranking system in place for Void Dwellers, from 1-17, for power. However, due to the nature of the Void, this is an incredibly not-quite-useful system, as Void Dwellers are essentially powered by their own perception.
6) Spirits, they who are lesser beings of roles taken by Gods.
7) Lower tier Gods, they who take lesser roles of major forces.
8) Upper tier Gods, they who take major roles of major forces.
9-11) “Omnipotent” deities of various religions.
12-13) Elder Gods, they who spread across Universes and bring them under their thrall.
14) Outer Gods, they who are the driving forces behind hundreds of Universes at once.
15) Aaron Heibai, he who cheats all things. Former member of the SysAdmins.
16) The Former SysAdmin Corps, now long extinct. Essence herself, she who is the embodiment of Madness. The Enforcers of the Council.
17) The Council of the Void. They who run the Void and keep it from descending into interpersonal slaughter and death and anarchy of the highest order.
“18”) DEATH himself, the highest and most powerful being in all of the Void, the Creator and the One Above All Who Are Above All.
Once again, the power of Void Dwellers is highly susceptible to their own natural perceptions. Thus, power levels are not constant, and any rank may actually appear to be a different ranking despite what the base state may be.
As a side note, most Displacers fall between the ranks of 7-14, depending on what they do, who they are, and whatever concepts they may be the embodiments of.
Interactions Between Displaced:
This is quite possibly the most important part of this chapter. Let us take into account the interactions between Displaced as a whole:
When Displaced interact, it is often by one Displaced or another being summoned via their Token. What is often forgotten, or never even realized in most cases, by the grand majority of Displaced is that, due to their nature as Displaced, certain rules do not apply to them.
Here’s what that means:
Let us perhaps examine the summoning of a Displaced. When the Token is activated, the Displaced will find some method of traveling to the Universe to which they are called. This is where things get strange.
When Displaced are taken from Universe to Universe, they are sheathed in a thin layer of Void “energy”. This is not often realized, and should they think that they will follow whatever rules that exist in the Universe they travel to- however subconsciously that may be- then they shall. This often leads to cases of humans (or otherwise) spontaneously becoming ponies under the sheer weight of some Equestrias’ “Harmony Fields”.
However, should the Displaced believe that they will follow only the laws of physics they are normally subject to, then Universes will make slight exceptions to the rule. This leads to quite a bit of wiggle room, since Void energy does odd things on quite random scales.
General Physics of Universes in the Void
Universes in the Void, no matter what, follow a few general rules. This is contrary to the rest of the Void in that, well, they actually follow strict rules.
The list of Rules is as such:

Universes in the Void, no matter what, follow a few general rules. This is contrary to the rest of the Void in that, well, they actually follow strict rules.
The list of Rules is as such:
- A Universe is a pocket of non-paradox within the Void
- A Universe is confined to its Multiverse of Birth unless otherwise acted upon by a powerful enough Void Dweller
- A Universe does not move, but rather Voidspace moves around it such that some may perceive it as moving
- A Universe has a specific “taste” unique to only that Universe. This leads to interesting flavours such as Strong Force with Periwinkle and Chocolate with Doom.
- Universes can be “shifted” from one Multiverse to another if a Void Dweller has enough power, or if the so-called Council of the Void decrees it as such.
